Historia: El edificio que tiene la función  de hotel de lujo y un total de 42 suites, es un homenaje al arquitecto Antoni Gaudí, por lo que Toyto Ito se inspira en La Pedrera para llevar a cabo su diseño, pero usando materiales totalmente diferentes. El hotel visto por la parte trasera es completamente recto y la parte delantera del mismo, es decir la fachada que da a Paseo de Gracia, simula La Pedrera o Casa Milá. 

The building works as a luxury hotel and with a total of 42 suites, it's a tribute to the architect Antoni Gaudi, so Toyto Ito was inspired by La Pedrera in order to set its desing, but using new and completely different materials. Moreover, if we look at the back of the hotel it is completely straight, so the real attraction of the building is its facade overlooking to Paseo de Gracia that simulates La Pedrera or Casa Mila.

Definición: La fachada del edificio, que es la parte que realmente cabe destacar, está construida utilizando paneles de hierro de 8 milimetros de grosor, tallados de tal manera que cogen o adoptan formas onduladas, gracias a las cuales, se consigue evocar las olas del mar y a los balcones de La Pedrera. Gracias a la luz natural que se proyecta sobre la cobertura del edificio, el hierro coge  diferentes tonalidades nacaradas, lo que hace al edificio aun más atractivo a ojos de los viandantes que lo observen.

The building facade is the part of the hotel that really stands out and it was building using iron panels 8 mm thick, which have been cut in a way that they adopt a wavelike, through which they evoke the waves and the balconies of La Pedrera as well. Thanks to the natural light is projected onto the building coverage, iron gets different pearly shades, which makes the building even more attractive in the eyes of the pedestrians looking at the building.
